Fraser Health introduces $25,000 macro health grant - The Hope Standard

Fraser Health will roll out a new macro health grant worth $25,000 which the recipient will use as seed money to leverage further grants.

Announced August 2, the grant is open to organizations in Hope and the Fraser Canyon and has three aims — those include generating community impact, which can range from more physical activity, connectiveness, food security or transportation. It must also foster partnership and use this grant to leverage bigger opportunities that can continue over time, and it must encourage expansion of activities and seek possible future funding opportunity.

Groundbreaking heralds new Peace Arch Hospital project - The Peace Arch News 

A groundbreaking ceremony Thursday afternoon heralded the beginning of construction for Peace Arch Hospital's newest addition – a 200-bed residential care facility including a 15-bed hospice residence.

The new building, scheduled to open in late 2019, will be located on what has been a vacant parking lot owned by the hospital, across the road at 17 Avenue and 156 Street in South Surrey.
