In October, there were 349 incidents reported to the Workplace Health Call Centre, with 92 of those incidents resulting in time loss.

Top Five Incidents

  • #1 Patient handling (18 per cent or 64 incidents, 39 per cent or 36 claims with days lost)
  • #2 Violence (17 per cent or 61 incidents, 14 per cent or 13 claims with days lost)
  • #3 Slips, trips (11 per cent or 40 incidents, 12 per cent or 11 claims with days lost)
  • #4 Blood and body fluid exposures or needlesticks (11 per cent or 39 incidents, 1 claim with days lost)
  • #5 Material handling (9 per cent or 31 incidents, 17 per cent or 16 claims with days lost)
