British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) and Fraser Health have partnered to improve ambulance patient offload times in our emergency departments.

This initiative will support improved community response times by BCEHS, and further our efforts to ensure our patients receive the ‘right care, in the right place, at the right time, by the right person’. Our goal is to have all patients arriving by BCEHS in the care of emergency department staff within 30 minutes of arrival. Our shared vision is to provide seamless patient-centred handover between BCEHS and Fraser Health emergency department staff in a manner that is safe and values mutual respect, caring and trust.

Our shared focus is to ensure our approach is patient-centred while fostering and sustaining a culture of collaboration between BCEHS and Fraser Health. Work is being led in Fraser Health by the Emergency Network.

Detailed information can be found on the Emergency Network Fraser Health Pulse site. If you have any questions, please contact your respective site Emergency Department Manager/Director who are key stakeholders in this work.
