Library Games continues this summer with two months to play - and learn! Find your next "must read" at Library Services and particpate in Round 3 of the games before August 31.

Congratulations to our Round 2 winner Sony Pabla from Peace Arch Hospital. Sony won a $10 coffee card. Want to win too? Check out Library Games online or on-site and answer our Round 3 trivia question.

We all know that libraries have books. But did you know that Fraser Health Library Services has more than 7,000 items in our collection? And that borrowing is free to all Fraser Health employees and physicians? We even deliver to your office/department if you aren’t located at one of our six sites. These little known facts are the reason this summer Library Games is creating awareness for none other than, books!

Walking by one of our libraries you might notice we have a lot of medical textbooks, but there’s more to us than meets the eye. In addition to clinical titles, we have books to support professional development, decision making and research. And to support your personal wellness, we have a growing collection of books on parenting, divorce, menopause, mental health, chronic illness and more.

To help get your summer reading going, we asked our team and colleagues from Evaluation and Research Services to give us their top picks:

Leading Change by John P. Kotter

Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World that Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain

Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande

Mind Over Mood by Dennis Greenberger and Christine Padesky

Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder by Arianna Huffinton

When the Body Says No: The Cost of Hidden Stress by Gabor Mate

Rising Strong by Brene Brown

Knit for Health and Wellness: How to Knit a Flexible Mind and More by Bestan Corkhill

Motivational Interviewing: Helping People Change by William Miller and Stephen Rollnick

Daring Greatly: How the Courage to be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead by Brene Brown
