Sehat program participating in the first annual Health & Beauty Expo in Surrey where people came to learn about health and wellness.

The South Asian Health Institute established the Sehat (health) program which is an innovative health promotion program to improve health outcomes for the local South Asian population. The goal is to develop healthy cultural norms for food and fitness and to empower clients to engage in their health through literacy and reminders.

Education, engagement and empowerment are key goals to help people adopt health prevention methods that will translate into decreased chronic disease risk and burden.

The Sehat program participated in the inaugural Health & Beauty Expo at Payaly Centre which was attended by hundreds of people seeking information on health and well-being related information, new products and initiatives, seminars, demonstrations and displays.
