The new facility will include 75 beds for mental health and substance use patients, including Fraser Health’s first Older Adult Psychiatric Unit for seniors.

Take a short video tour through Royal Columbian Hospital’s future Mental Health and Substance Use Wellness Centre. It’s going to be beautiful. And fabulous for patients (and staff and physicians too). And, it’s coming winter 2019.

The new facility will include 75 beds for Mental Health and Substance Use patients including Fraser Health’s first Older Adult Psychiatric Unit for seniors, a Psychiatric High Acuity Unit, outpatient clinics, clinical education and applied research space, an underground parkade, an energy centre and a communications server hub. Excavation is already underway, and construction cranes arrive this summer.
