ShelleyLynn has been nominated as one of three individuals running for the Everyday Champion category of the 2018 Quality Awards hosted by the BC Patient Safety & Quality Council.

ShelleyLynn Gardner, rehabilitation assistant and member of our Engagement Radical Network (E-Rads), has a passion for improving patient care at Surrey Memorial Hospital. She also has a talent for creative and compassionate ideas that make a difference - like her efforts in providing “Puppy Love” education days for staff and fulfilling “What Matters to You” patient wishes.

As an E-Rad, ShelleyLynn is an informal volunteer leader who empowers staff at all levels to engage their peers in improvement efforts and learning. ShelleyLynn’s commitment to this role is evident in the diverse and well-received initiatives she leads including a peer recognition program called “Pay It Forward” and Mental Health Awareness Week and Change Day activities. She also creates social events that build team-culture like the annual staff barbeque.
