Unified Clinical Information Network brings together an integrated view of patient information from Meditech and PARIS. Now you can access medical imaging from all BC health authorities.

Our Unified Clinical Information Network (UCI) is expanding to provide you with access to provincial medical imaging to ensure you have ‘the right information, to the right person, at the right time’.

UCI currently brings together an integrated view of patient information from community and acute care in Fraser Health with no extra logins. Now, UCI will integrate with medical imaging to bring you images from health authorities like Vancouver Coastal Health, Provincial Health Services Authority, Northern Health, and more. This means you will be able to view patients’ provincial medical imaging results, including reports and images for procedures such as x-rays and CT scans, in UCI.

You can also find patients’ imaging reports quickly by using search and filters in imaging to narrow down reports by modality (procedure), ordered by, date, and facility.

So what does this mean for you in your day-to-day work? With provincial medical imaging, you will now be able to:

  • Directly view medical imaging from Vancouver General Hospital, BC Women’s Hospital, BC Children’s Hospital, and other sites without having to use a disc or login to other systems.
  • Directly view medical imaging from Northern Health, Interior Health, and Island Health.
  • Access imaging reports without having to phone or fax the facility.
