Announcing a new opportunity for your patients to get involved: The Patients Interested in Research group, launching at the end of January.

One way to continue to improve health is through increased patient engagement. At the suggestion of the Fraser Health Patient Advisory Council, we want to increase the involvement of patients in research, which in turn supports Fraser Health to be a learning organization. The BC SUPPORT Unit Fraser Centre is therefore launching a Patients Interested in Research (PIiR) group. Do you know of patients who want to volunteer or have lots of ideas to share? Let them know about the PIiR group.

This group will support innovation, quality and the impact of health research in the Fraser region. Patients and family/friend caregivers are invited to attend the launch of the PIiR group. This first meeting will help shape the direction the group takes and provide information about patient-oriented research and opportunities for patients.

Please share with your patient community. To attend the meeting on January 31, 2018, 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., please R.S.V.P. to Rableen Nagra at rableen.nagra@fraserhealth.ca. She will send information on how to attend this online video and teleconference meeting.
