Our new agreement with Telus and VOX Mobile will improve the request and approvals process and faster mobile device delivery.

Fraser Health recognizes that our increasingly mobile workforce requires reliable data and digital information on the go. So our User Experience and Service Management team has been working on new ways to improve our corporate mobile phone services and delivery of devices.

We are keenly aware of some of the ongoing issues and challenges our mobile service delivery has faced in the past. We have listened to your concerns and are making changes to our program in order to better serve our employees, and we expect to implement them later this spring.

After several months of investigation, Fraser Health has entered into a new agreement with industry leaders Telus and VOX Mobile to provide complete mobile device lifecycle management.  What this means for you is:

  • A simpler request and approvals process for managers requesting new corporate mobile devices
  • Faster procurement and delivery of new corporate mobile devices to employees
  • Access to a dedicated mobile device service desk for more efficient user assistance
  • Better, more consistent mobile service, backed by 32 new quality guarantees from providers

This agreement will cover all of the various cell phone models and service providers currently in use within Fraser Health. This allows Fraser Health to maintain its existing mix of Rogers and Telus cellular platforms to ensure each of our users receives the best cellular coverage available.

This service agreement will also support the future use of iPhones and Android phones by our employees as well as our Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative.  BYOD is an alternate program that managers can support for their staff in place of a corporate mobile device. BYOD enrolment is now available via the Service Catalogue, on a voluntary basis, to employees with a personal mobile device.

Over the next few months, we will be working with BC Clinical and Support Services (BCCSS) to design and implement our transition to Telus and VOX Mobile.

We expect to begin initial launch of the new service for corporate mobile devices later this spring. In the meantime, existing mobile device service management processes remain in place and we will continue to work with BCCSS to help ensure our users are getting the mobile device services they need.
