Find some nomination inspiration by looking back at some of last year’s exceptional winners.

Only a few weeks remain to submit your nominations for the 2018 Above & Beyond Awards. Don’t miss this chance to recognize your colleagues for the incredible work they are doing to improve health care across Fraser Health.

Today, we look back at a few of the people who received Above & Beyond Awards last year in the hopes it will inspired you to nominate one of your amazing peers for the same honour.

Remember the Pediatric Diabetes Transition Team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre? They took home a Best Collaboration Award for their work in developing of a new model for transitioning older youth into adult diabetes care.

And who could forget Dr. Richard Merchant, Anesthesiologist, Royal Columbian Hospital, who was honoured with a Fraser Health Hero Award for his work on the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery protocol.

Then there was Bryce Walker, Home Support Services Regional Coordinator, Abbotsford Home Health Office, who was awarded with a Service Delivery Excellence Award for playing a key role in centralizing and standardizing home support services to improve patient care.

This year, help commemorate more of the remarkable work your colleagues do by putting their name forward for an Above & Beyond Award. Remember to submit your nomination by March 31st.
