Concrete repair work begins May 7 in the VGH parkade on West 12th Avenue.

On Monday, May 7, 2018, construction activity will begin in Vancouver General Hospital's parkade on West 12thAvenue.

Contractors will mobilize before they begin repairing and repaving the concrete driving surface throughout the parkade. Construction activities are anticipated to continue until the end of the year. Temporary signage will be in place to direct traffic.

Due to construction, there will be several phases of parking stall closures over the coming months. During each phase approximately 60 parking stalls will be unavailable for approximately one week at a time. Designated parking stalls for people with disabilities will be temporarily relocated when affected to ensure access is maintained.

If you're driving to VGH:

  • Please allow for extra time to find parking.
  • For your safety, please follow directional signage.
  • During construction there will be fewer parking stalls. Please consider using public transportation, carpooling or alternatives to provide parking for patients and visitors.
  • Alternative parking locations can be found in the area.
