Two girls standing in a classroom for United Way campaign
Written by Cameron Brine, Vice President, Employee Experience

Fraser Health's United Way campaign runs from November 26 to 30. Learn how you can participate and show your support.

We partner with the United Way each year because they care about what we care about – healthy people and strong communities.

Our donations make an impact for children, families and seniors in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.

United Way supports seniors in our community by providing programs to help them stay social, active and healthy.

They also focus on giving kids the opportunity to be all they can be with after-school programs and community initiatives. In 2016/17, 40,000 kids were helped by donor support.

I’m looking forward to this year’s campaign and working together to help change lives locally.

The campaign will run from November 26 – 30.

Here are some ways you can support the campaign:

  • Purchase ‘Dress this way for United Way’ stickers and dress casually on designated days throughout November.
  • Make a pledge. Volunteers will have pledge forms during campaign week and you can even donate online.
  • Participate at fundraising events at your site.

Site campaign leads across our region have been planning fun events, special activities, prize draws and raffles to increase awareness about the work of the United Way and to help raise funds.

Connect with the lead at your site to find out more about ‘Dress this way for United Way’ and where you can buy stickers. Your site lead can also let you know about the events happening near you.

Mark your calendars and join me in supporting the United Way campaign.
